One of Covid-19’s fatalities was the DVD business, which we had been in for the last 5 years. As our agents and local DVD writing firm disappeared into the blue yonder, we decided to make a change. Knowing that many women were housebound and looking for something crafty to do, the choice was an easy one.
December 2020 saw us working long hours to re-shelve and re-organize the store, swallowing anti-inflammatories and pain killers, the inevitable result of back breaking work.
Yarns in their myriad identities, textures and compositions became our business. They took centre stage; their colours transforming our store into a summer’s field. Books nestled closely against them, whispering of ancient lands, drama, heroes, fantastical, otherworldly realms and darkest crimes. The two things we love most, agreed to a harmonious marriage, and settled into the new venture: Yarn Tale.
Our DVDs are still floating around if you need to watch an oldie but goodie.
We are above all a family oriented store, always ready to lend an ear, help with a difficult crochet stitch or recommend an awesome read.
